The Long & Non-winding Road

Today was the longest driving day we'll put in on our trip.  When our kids were little, we would always drive the first 24 hours from home in one go with the premise that, after that, we could mosey stopping any darn place we wanted.  In old age, Bob and I don't push ourselves so hard so after 13 hours and 700 miles, we stopped.  That's brought us from Weyburn to Hudson, Wisconsin.

So, truly, there isn't much exciting to report except that we saw ditches and ditches and ditches of buffalo beans.  I remember they grew in back alleys when I was a kid; I don't see them much anymore.
